General:
Darlington 'Downs began in 1997 with the purchase of a small group of bred ewes and has grown to a current flock of 70 registered Southdown ewes. Troy, Barb, and the entire family are involved in the sheep operation. Courtney, Casey, and Carson are our children  and they enjoy growing up on our forty acre farmette and they are always eager to help out. They spend much of their freetime fitting sheep and attending shows and sales from early spring until fall. In addition to our Southdowns we also custom raise replacement dairy heifers.

About the family:
Troy is the agriculture instructor and FFA advisor at Darlington High School, and Barb operates B & T embroidery which is a custom embroidery and screen printing business. All three kids attend Darlington Community  School where they are involved in many different activies and groups. Troy has been involved in the sheep industry his entire life being involved in 4-H and FFA, while raising several different breeds of sheep before Southdowns. He found that Southdowns are great for kids because they are docile. Southdowns are also economical, have a rich history, and are very easy to work with during shows because they are shown with their wool slick sheared.
